"In our neighborhood, lives a rooster. In our neighborhood, lives a sadist slaying rooster!"
Based on Nizar Qabbani's poem Al Deek (The Rooster), and created as a response to Beirut August 4th explosion, this dance creation experiments with the Baladi form to portray the journey of a dictator.
The film grapples with the dark side of power through the story of an innocent childhood's rise to power, their relationship with the feminine and how this always leads to inevitable downfall.
